Synopsis: At a 14 flour apartment in Manhattan, a wonderful story involving two characters who will collide is about to be revealed. First of all, we have Alono McBrian. He’s sensible, an artist, a pessimistic and a lonely person. He was recently fired of his job and criticized everything with bizarre theories. His parents, Christopher McBrian, a schizophrenic guy with multiple jobs and personalities and Alma McBrian, a feminist woman made his childhood totally strange. He was never satisfied with anything except three things in life: Manhattan, Salvador Dalí and Jazz. His romantic life was a total disaster. He had a few ex-girlfriends that manipulated him in every way.

Next door, there’s Tessa Ryan. She’s a beautiful and young psychiatrist. She loves her job and loves helping people. She’s the most decent and polite person imaginable. Her father, Harry Ryan is a hardworking lawyer and her mother, Charlotte Ryan is the boss of a fashion boutique. She had never had any problems with her romantic life.

One day, Alono McBrian became desperate of his constant loneliness. Having no friends he goes directly to Tessa’s apartment and asks her for sessions. As they begin, a friendship develops between them. Alono begins to have meetings with Tessa at museums, movie theaters or galleries.

Some months later, Alono finds out he’s in love of Tessa. He doesn’t know who he should tell or what to do and a depression is caused on him. He then finds out that the only thing that would make him feel better is confessing his passionate love to Tessa. He tries and tries but never can. What can he do? Will his depression get worse? Will he confess his love to Tessa?

What the press would say:

Without any doubt, “Sessions” is an unforgettable romantic comedy from the genius of Woody Allen who has just made his greatest film since Annie Hall. His directing is fascinating and astonishing. He makes once again his typical conversation style films. He directs an amazing cast. Paul Giamatti plays the role of a lifetime as the lonely Alono McBrian. He plays so well his part that you forget he’s acting. Scarlett Johansson is breathtaking as the beautiful Tessa Ryan. The supporting cast is also magnificent but the performance we must point is Woody Allen’s portrayal of Christopher McBrian, a father with multiple jobs and personalities.

Not only does the film have the best directing and acting possible, the best of the film is the screenplay. Woody Allen invented a very original story and gave it the most hilarious and smart dialogues imaginable. The ending of the film is pure Woody Allen also. It is funny, touching and realistic at the same time. Alono is finally going to confess his love to Tessa. While he looks for her in the whole building, he finds her leaving with another man.

So ladies and gentleman, prepare to see this amazing romantic comedy that is simply the greatest film of the year.
