Synopsis: Billy Tyler is just coming off a huge hit. His film was a box office success and was the recipient of numerous awards. Now studio executives are demanding a follow-up as soon as possible. The only problem is that he cannot come up with another idea. When his best friend (and author), Bobby, tells him about this excellent book he is writing, Billy decides to steal it and turn it into another award-winning screenplay.

What the press would say:

It has been years since Woody Allen has directed a wonderful comedy, but his return to comedic success couldn’t be greater. Zack Braff and Steve Carell have great chemistry together. Braff is deeply amusing with his wit, but he shines in the more dramatic scenes with Carell. Steve Carell is at his best. The hurt he displays when he finds out about his friend’s betrayal is deeply affecting, especially for such a light comedy. Paul Giamatti is also hysterical as Mr. Smith, the agent hired to stalk Billy until he gets his next idea. Michelle Monaghan and Isla Fisher also co-star in supporting roles. Go see what critics are calling the best comedy of the year.
